Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. Agreement and acceptance
These terms of use are an agreement between you and Seyfi Can Zeyrek, an individual developer based in Türkiye ("we", "us"). They cover the Citinerary app for Android and iOS, its trip reminders, Citinerary Pro and the web pages we publish for the app. In the app stores the app may appear under a longer listing name; these terms apply under every name.
The first onboarding screen shows the notice "By continuing you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy." below the "Plan my trip" button, with links to both documents. Tapping "Plan my trip" on the first onboarding screen, under the notice that links these terms and the privacy policy, means you accept these terms. The App records on your device which version of these terms you accepted (identified by the "Last updated" date above) and when. If you started using the App before this notice was shown, continuing to use it after these terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Settings > Legal and the paywall link to these terms and to the privacy policy, so you can read them at any time and before you buy Pro. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. Definitions
- App means Citinerary for Android and iOS.
- Service means the App together with its content, reminders and the web pages we publish for it.
- Content means the city packs, day plans, guides, photos, texts and other material we provide in the App.
- Pro (or Citinerary Pro) means the one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the paid features.
- Stores means the Apple App Store and Google Play.
3. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you and is responsible for purchases. If the law of your country sets a higher minimum age for online services, that age applies. The App is not directed to children under 13.
4. Your account
The app creates a random anonymous identifier for your install; it is not tied to your name or email address. You do not register, choose a password or sign in with another service. This identifier lets the App run, keeps your Pro status and links analytics and crash reports to one install, as the privacy policy explains.
Your trip choices, saved places and route progress are stored only on your device. If you remove the App, clear its data or change device, they are lost and the App may create a new identifier; Pro can be restored with the same Store account (section 10).
Settings > Your data > Copy app ID copies your identifier so that you can quote it when you write to us. Settings > Your data > Delete my data deletes your identifier, the ad reports linked to it and the App's data on your device, and the App then starts again with onboarding; the privacy policy describes exactly what is removed and what is kept. You can also ask us by email to delete the data linked to your identifier. Deleting your data does not cancel or refund Pro.
5. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for your private and non-commercial use, under these terms and the rules of the Store you obtained it from.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent the App or the Content; extract the city packs, guides or photos for use outside the App; reverse engineer the App except where the law allows it despite this restriction; or bypass technical limits, the paywall or the ad gates. All rights not expressly granted remain with us and our licensors.
If you downloaded the App from Google Play, Google is not a party to these terms. Purchases are processed under Google Play's terms of service. These terms do not give you rights against Google.
6. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- Acknowledgement. These terms are between you and Seyfi Can Zeyrek only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, and not Apple, are solely responsible for Citinerary (the "Licensed Application") and its content. These terms do not override Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Scope of license. The license we grant you is non-transferable and limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions (including use through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where Apple allows it).
- Maintenance and support. We, and not Apple, are solely responsible for maintenance and support of the Licensed Application, as set out in these terms or as required by law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance and support services for the Licensed Application.
- Warranty. If the Licensed Application fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Licensed Application to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the Licensed Application. Other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
- Product claims. We, and not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims by you or a third party relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws. Nothing in these terms limits our liability beyond what the law allows.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the Licensed Application or your possession and use of it infringes that party's intellectual property rights, we, and not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of the claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo or that has been designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer contact. Questions, complaints or claims about the Licensed Application can be sent to Seyfi Can Zeyrek, Esenyalı Mahallesi, 35140, Karabağlar/İzmir, Türkiye, email sczgamesinfo@gmail.com.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with the third-party terms that apply when you use the Licensed Application (for example, the terms of your mobile data provider).
- Third-party beneficiaries. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right (and is considered to have accepted the right) to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
7. Device permissions
The App asks for permissions only for the features that need them: notifications for daily trip reminders and, on iOS, tracking for personalised ads (in Türkiye ads stay non-personalised whatever you answer). The app does not ask for location permission and does not read your device's GPS position. You can refuse any permission and revoke it later in your device settings; the planner, guides and saved places keep working without notifications or tracking. When daily reminders are on, the app schedules one local reminder on the morning of each trip day; it does not send marketing notifications.
8. The service and its limits
Citinerary helps you plan a short city trip on foot. You choose one of the destinations we publish, the number of days, who you travel with and what interests you; the App builds a day-by-day plan of sights and meal stops from its city pack, shows a city guide (food, history, transport, etiquette and practical notes) and lets you save places and follow each day's stops in your map app.
Limits you should know:
- Walking times, distances, opening hours, prices and other guide details are estimates from our city packs and can be wrong or out of date. Check important details, such as opening times, tickets, safety and local rules, with official sources before you rely on them.
- The App covers only the destinations we publish. We may add, change or remove destinations, guides and features.
- We do not book tickets, hotels or transport and do not guarantee entry to any place. Routes are suggestions; follow traffic rules, signs and local instructions, and stay aware of your surroundings. Do not rely on the App in an emergency.
- Without Pro, switching to another city requires watching a rewarded ad or buying Pro. What is free can change; we show what Pro unlocks before you buy.
- Some content, such as city photos and guides, is downloaded from our servers and needs an internet connection.
- The Service depends on your device, your operating system, your connection and services run by others (the Stores, Google, RevenueCat and your map app). We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and checks of your Pro status can be delayed.
- We do not promise any particular outcome from using the App.
We provide support by email at sczgamesinfo@gmail.com.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the App in breach of the law or of the rights of others;
- copy, scrape or harvest the Content or use automated means to access the Service;
- interfere with, disrupt or attack the Service, its servers or its security checks, or introduce malware;
- bypass the paywall, the ad gates or other technical limits, or tamper with purchase checks;
- abuse the "Report an ad" feature, for example by sending large numbers of false reports;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the App or the Content;
- use the App in breach of export control or sanctions laws.
If you break these rules we may warn you, limit features or suspend your access (section 18). You can report problems to sczgamesinfo@gmail.com and report an inappropriate ad in Settings > Report an ad.
10. Purchases and subscriptions
Citinerary Pro is a one-time purchase and does not renew. It removes ads and lets you switch cities without watching an ad. Pro is not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel and no renewal charge; no introductory offer or trial period is offered.
- Price and payment. The price is shown in the Store's purchase sheet and on the paywall before you buy, and taxes may apply. Payment is taken by the Store from your Store account; we never receive your card details.
- Entitlement. Pro is unlocked by a store purchase that RevenueCat checks for the Apple ID or Google account that bought it. A one-time purchase applies to the Store account that bought it and to the App for as long as we offer it.
- Restore. Use Restore on the paywall or Settings > Restore purchases with the same Store account to get Pro back on a new device or after reinstalling.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules. Ask Apple or Google for a refund; we cannot refund Store purchases ourselves. This does not affect rights you have by law.
- Changes. We may change what Pro includes or its price for future buyers. If we change Pro in a way that materially reduces what you already bought, we will tell you and your statutory rights apply.
11. Advertising
The free version shows app-open, interstitial and rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob; Citinerary Pro removes them. Ads come from third-party advertisers through Google AdMob; we do not control their content and do not endorse advertisers. Where Google requires it, such as in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choice before ads are personalised; on iPhone and iPad, ads are personalised only if you allow tracking, and otherwise they are requested as non-personalised ads. In Türkiye, ads are always requested as non-personalised ads on Android and iOS. Your choices and how to change them are described in the privacy policy. You can report an inappropriate ad in Settings > Report an ad.
12. Third-party services
The Stores, Google AdMob, RevenueCat, the map app that opens your walking route, and the websites of venues or transport operators named in the guides are third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Links in the App are provided for convenience and do not mean that we endorse the linked service.
13. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the App, the city packs, the plans, guides, texts, illustrations, icons, photos and the Citinerary name and logo. These terms give you a license to use them in the App, not ownership, and no right to use our trademarks. Names of places, venues and transport operators, and third-party marks, belong to their owners. Open-source components in the App are licensed under their own licences. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely without obligation to you. If you believe that Content infringes your rights, write to sczgamesinfo@gmail.com.
14. Privacy
The privacy policy at https://citinerary.morrowline.app/en/privacy/ explains how we handle personal data when you use the App, including the anonymous identifier, analytics, ads, your choices and how to delete your data in the App. Users in Türkiye also receive our information notice under Law no. 6698 (KVKK).
15. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live and that cannot be waived by agreement.
EU and UK. If you buy Pro as a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content supplied immediately, you lose this right if you expressly asked for immediate supply and acknowledged that you lose it. The Store's checkout and refund function handle withdrawal for purchases made through it. Digital content and services must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose; if they are not, you may be entitled to repair, a price reduction or termination under EU Directive 2019/770 or the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Türkiye. Your rights under Law no. 6502 on Consumer Protection and its regulations, including rights relating to distance contracts and unfair terms, remain in force. You may apply to the consumer arbitration committee or the consumer court of your place of residence.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP AND THE SERVICE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". To the extent the law allows, we do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant any travel outcome. Rights that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded, including statutory conformity rights, remain. For iOS, Apple's refund route in section 6 applies.
17. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill, to the extent the law allows. This includes loss caused by relying on estimated walking times, opening hours, prices or other guide details.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims about the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App and Pro in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for intent or gross negligence, or for anything that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights. These limits do not affect Apple's refund route in section 6.
18. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time. Use Settings > Your data > Delete my data first, or ask us by email, to delete the data linked to your identifier as described in the privacy policy; removing the App alone does not delete data held by our providers.
We may suspend or end your access to the Service if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Service or others. We tell you in advance where practical. We may also stop offering the App; if we do, we will try to give reasonable notice.
When your access ends your license ends. What happens to your data is described in the privacy policy. Sections 6, 13, 16, 17, 19 and 21, and anything else meant to continue, stay in force.
19. Governing law and disputes
Talk to us first. If you have a complaint, write to sczgamesinfo@gmail.com. We will try to resolve it within 30 days before either of us starts formal proceedings. This does not affect your right to go to court or to a consumer authority at any time, and it does not extend any limitation period.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply to you.
Courts. The courts of İzmir, Türkiye have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live, and we can only bring a claim against you in the courts of that place, to the extent the law of your country says so. Consumers in Türkiye may also apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts as Law no. 6502 provides. Small-claims procedures where you live remain available to you.
There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver in these terms.
20. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the App, the law or our business changes. We show the date of the latest version at the top and, for material changes, give notice in the App or on our website at least 30 days before they take effect where we can. Changes do not apply to disputes that arose before they took effect. If you keep using the App after the changes take effect, you accept them; if you do not agree, you can stop using the App. Where the law requires your consent to a change, we ask for it.
21. General
If a provision of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force (severability). If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it. These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the App. We may transfer these terms to someone who takes over the App; your rights under these terms and under the law are not affected. We may send notices in the App or on our website, and you can send notices to the email address in section 22. These terms are written in English; where a translation exists, the English version prevails to the extent the law allows. No one other than you and us has rights under these terms, except Apple and its subsidiaries as stated in section 6.
